The Boxes

11/1/2017

Alone in the house, I looked out the window to see a box laying on my lawn. I go outside to pick the box up. It has started to storm so I grab the box and run back inside all wet. I set the box down on my kitchen table and run upstairs to change. I walk back and see the box was no longer there. I go back to the same spot where I had first noticed the box and see that it was back outside, but something was different. There were two boxes laying on my lawn and the rain had stopped. I go back outside to pick both boxes up and bring them back inside. As I got inside it had started to rain again. I grab a pair of scissors and start cutting open the box but I notice something odd about both boxes. They had no address or stamps. I double check both boxes to see if i'm going crazy but there was nothing. As I reach into the box I pick up a shoe. Now this wasn't any shoe, It was mine. I put on the shoe to make sure it fit and it fit perfectly. I grab the other box and open that one. I lift the box up and shake out whatever is in it. "My shirt?" I pick up the shirt and put it on. It was my favorite one I had been missing for a while. I run back upstairs to take off the shoe and shirt. I place both on my bed not knowing how they ended up in boxes. I go back down stairs and see the boxes resealed. "Who and how was this happening?" I thought to myself. Maybe i'm hallucinating. Picking one of the boxes up I rip it open with my bare hands. "A pen?" This can't possibly be mine. I turn the pen over to see my initials. "Hello?" I call out. No one responds. "This has to be my brother, he must be playing tricks on me!" I reach down and grab the other box. I open it to see a bracelet. This wasn't any ordinary bracelet. It was one my mom has given to me when I turned twelve. Was something there? Or was I just going crazy. "Knock, knock, knock." I look up and call out "Bill is that you?" I get up and look outside the window to see if he had come home but he wasn't. I return back to the kitchen to notice three more boxes. Where were they coming from? Why was this happening? I open all three and find some of my most personal items. A picture of my mom and dad, a doll from my childhood, and a picture of my whole family. I close my eyes for about ten seconds and open them to see all the items in a circle, and in the circle I see a weird creature grinning at me.
